Quiz Privacy Notice

Effective October 1, 2026

This notice explains what Overcoming PTSD ("we", "us") collects when you take the Trauma Response quiz at quiz.overcomingptsd.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It adds to our main Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Disclaimer, which also apply. Where this notice is more specific about the quiz, this notice applies. Overcoming PTSD is run by Brad Schipke.

What we collect

• Your quiz answers and the results we work out from them.
• Your first name and email address, when you ask for your results.
• Your mobile number, only if you choose to give it for a text.
• Technical details your browser sends: your IP address, browser type, the page that sent you here, the ad tags in the link you clicked (such as utm codes and Facebook's click id), and the time you took the quiz.

Cookies and tracking

The quiz page uses the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta (Facebook) that sets cookies so we can measure how our ads perform. It tells Meta when the quiz page is viewed, when someone asks for their results, and when a quiz is completed. It never receives your answers, your results, your name, your email address or your phone number. The Pixel is not used on your results page.

The quiz also keeps your progress in your browser's session storage, so a refresh doesn't lose your answers. That is cleared when you finish or close the tab.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can control how Meta uses this information for ads in your Facebook ad preferences.

How we use it

• To show you your results and email you a copy.
• To send you follow-up emails about your results and our program, and our regular emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• To send the text you asked for, if you gave your number.
• To measure which ads bring people to the quiz, and to improve the quiz.
• To keep the site secure and stop spam and abuse.

Your answers describe how you react under stress, so we treat them as sensitive. We use them only to build your results, to fit our emails to your results, and to improve the quiz. We never sell them, and never share them for advertising.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that run the quiz for us, each for that job alone:

• GoHighLevel, our customer records and text messaging, which holds your name, email, number and results.
• Google (Google Sheets), a private record of quiz responses.
• Amazon Web Services, which sends our emails and stores our backups.
• DigitalOcean, which hosts the quiz.
• Meta, through the Pixel described above.

If you follow a link to join our community on Skool, Skool's own privacy policy applies there. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Text messages

If you give your mobile number, we send you one text with the guide you asked for. We don't send more unless you ask. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while we're in touch with you and for as long as it helps us run and improve the quiz. Ask us to delete it at any time and we will.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from emails with the link at the bottom of any email.
• Stop texts by replying STOP.
• Email help@overcomingptsd.com to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. We'll reply within 30 days.

Security

The quiz runs over an encrypted connection, and access to your information is limited to the people and services that need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you share with us.

Children

The quiz is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has used it, email us and we'll delete their information.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
